Jessica D'Unienville

Jessica, from Ballito, South Africa, is a creative soul who loves painting, journaling, songwriting, and photography. A devoted follower of Christ since 2018, her faith has carried her through profound losses, including the passing of both parents. Inspired by these experiences, Jessica wrote a 40-day devotional to offer hope and encouragement to others facing life’s storms. Through her writing, she aims to share her journey of resilience and faith, helping readers find strength in Christ amidst challenges.

Who is
Jessica D'Unienville?

Jessica has lived in Ballito, KwaZulu – Natal Province, South Africa, all her life. Naturally creative she enjoys painting, journaling, and scrapbooking.

Jess loves watching sunrises and sunsets and collecting seashells on the beach. Passionate about song writing and singing, she learned to play the guitar from her mom to accompany her songs. She also enjoys having coffee with friends and walking in nature. Jess has taken up photography, a hobby introduced to her by her brother.

Jess has been a devoted follower of Christ since 2018. Her life was transformed by experiencing the Lord’s love during a visit to Israel, where she was blessed to be baptised in the sea of Galilee.

In December 2020, Jess loss her mom to cancer, and then just over two years later, in February 2023, she lost her dad to a stroke. These painful losses inspired her to write a 40-day devotional to help others find hope during life’s storms. Despite a life filled with trauma and suffering, Jess has found strength through her faith, overcoming each challenge, including the death of her parents. She aims to shine a light for others who may feel discouraged, overwhelmed, or weary from life’s difficulties.

With this in mind and the Lord calling her to action, Jess joined Sue Sundstrom’s ” The Author Breakthrough” programme, an online course that taught her the basics of writing and self-publishing and strengthened her confidence in her calling. Jess continued her publishing journey with mentorship and coaching from The Infinity Tree.

Writing her book unearthed many buried trauma’s, but Jess remains victorious in Christ and hopes to share this victory with her readers, offering them hope through her story.
