My Story

Jennifer Strachan is a South African author and storyteller, born in Gauteng and now based in Durban. She writes children’s stories and faith-led teaching books that encourage, uplift, and inspire readers of all ages around the world.

Affectionately known as Jen to family and friends—and as Aunty Jen through her YouTube storytelling channel, The Rainbow Room Stories—she is a proud granny and super-mom of four. Jen has a deep love for the outdoors and has played an active role in the South African Scouting family for over a decade.

Since 2013, Jen has shared her passion for teaching and encouragement as a guest speaker in both business settings and faith-based spaces, ministering to her brothers and sisters in Christ with authenticity and heart.

Beyond writing, Jen is the owner of ALEJEN7 Completely Clean Services, a business she has successfully run for 17 years, and the founder of The Infinity Tree Publishing and Book Coaching, now in its third year. She is the co-author of Abby and the Wind and the sole author of STOP – A Handbook to Cope with Overwhelm. With more than eight books nearing completion, Jen’s author journey continues to grow, and the year ahead promises exciting new releases.
